Exhibits - searching for soft furnishings and manipulatives

Wee Play - we purchased items from them previously at ALA - you may spot Wess' favorite "Salad bowl" in the background, the sensory honeycombs, walking balance beam, and more.

They have some other really cute stuff we have not seen before. The square brick house is very neat, love the building blocks, and the connecting snowflakes are awesome! Hopefully we can add some new manipulatives to our collection!

This is the makerspace segment of the exhibit floor - 3D printers (Melvin!), they had samples of what had been made, the best is perhaps the Millennium Falcon made with a laser cutter!

Gressco also has some soft furnishings.
Haba is known for their wood toys, I didn't realize they have sensory panel walls! That's neat.

I love the little palm tree storage island. That could be a cute sorter for toys! Or for board books.
This is also new. Stackable risers. They are light weight (could tip over if adults tried to stand). The set is meant to hold 40 children. The salesman was telling us about how this is better for children as they are sitting on their legs vs. behinds (which don't have the muscle developed yet).

This is the TMC / Yamada booth. Michelle spotted a really cute small table with letters. We realized we don't really have any small scale tables in children's, just LARGE.

This is the Nomad Flexible furniture booth. We stopped by to take a look because it resemble the booths in our Teen Scene. What's neat is the backside of the bench has a counter!

If there's anything you'd like me to take a look for, just let me know.

  1. Great pictures!!! I like the Wee Play gears. They are supposed to be safe for little hands (no crunch zone).

Can you look for seating with lockable storage for the Early Learning space. I am having a hard time finding vendors online.

Oh yeah, if you can carry the Millennium Falcon go ahead and bring that back also.

  2. Sorry WG, no lockable play storage from what I could see.

    The Falcon was AMAZING!!!

Any chance we're getting laser cutters on the 2nd floor to replicate?
